Atheists and Religious people, an important question?

If you were protesting or fighting for a cause, would you view it as compromise to do it along side some one with a religion different than yours? I know I sure as hell wouldn't... I'm a christian and if it meant fighting for what's right I'd gladly lock arms with an atheist, hindu, muslim, Jew, Agnostic it wouldn't really make a difference to me. I think friendship between people with different standpoints is a beautiful thing that doesn't show cowardice or weakness of any kind.
