Anyone ever made it all the way through Lou Reed's Metal Machine Music?

I've only listened to about half a track.He actually mounted the guitars against an amplifier so the vibrations of the amps would cause the strings to move & thus the guitars would actually "play themselves".But no, Kid A is just the direction Thom Yorke wanted to follow becuase he had writers block for a long time & got into music from the Warp label like Aphex Twin, Autechre ect.He actually considered making it an instrumental album at some stage because he said he wasn't into singing anymore.But I agree that Hornby is wrong about comparing the two albums.Kid A has actual songs that were written on it, unlike Metal Machine Music.
