Kingdom Hearts 1 Ansem (leveling up)?

ok im at the part of the game where I sealed the keyhole to hollow bastion and the hades cup just opened up to me. Now should i lvl up before I battle with ansem or should I do Hades cup and then go to ansem boss fight??
