My Sony kdl 40sl130 television "hesitates" when I change channels...why?

Well, first of all when you change channels, you are not changing channels on your TV, the tuner is in your cable box and the cable box is what is changing channels. Secondly, there is typically a pause of a second between your cable box and the TV when you change channels and so I'm thinking nothing you have told us appears abnormal.
