The US and UK special relationship does it exist?

i think every brit knows about it and is often mentioned in the UK, but if your american youll never hear of this special thing. we know the UK are our allies in europe just like Ireland, Gemany, Spain etc but as they have waned so has thier influence of Washington. I would say we share special bonds with Israel, japan, South korea, Taiwan, Canada (also known as americas other half), Australia and New zealand all of which we are obliged to provide weapons to and protect by law, some of these countries in the event of war thier militaries control are to be transfered to the US and thier military doctrines revolve around the US policy. their economies too are tied to America. for the UK we are fighting the wars in afghanistan together with other countries. for the UK we share common values and the fight over terrorism but its unwise for the UK to rely on this so called special relationship as they dont hold no more sway that the countries i mentioned above actually less than some to say the truth, am i right?
